Fettercairn distillery is located under the Grampian foothills in the Howe of Mearns in the region of Highland. Fettercairn is also the town’s name, loosely based on the phrase “the foot of the mountain”. The distillery is owned by Whyte & Mackay Distillers, like Dalmore and Jura.
This 12 year old single malt whisky aged in American White Oak Bourbon casks is part of their core range. Fettercairn hasn’t yet jumped into the bandwagon of NAS (non age stated) whisky release. Their core range starts from 12 year old single malt.
